Board members have a light commitment, meeting in person once every two months for about an hour and a half. They also join monthly committee meetings, with occasional preparation needed. Attendance is expected at the co-op’s annual meeting on May 3rd and the annual board retreat in October. New board members receive orientation and training as part of onboarding, which wraps up before their first board meeting. The initial term is just two years. In appreciation of their commitment to the Co-op and time spent, board members receive a generous store discount for their household.
